Tech Topic Connection : Computer applications

Explain how your chosen tech topic relates to the concepts of information technology and computer science, including history of computers and the means by which computers operate. 

According to the careers360 blog, computer apps for business were first introduced in India in the 1980s. Over the previous 35 years, businesses have started to realize how crucial computer applications for business are to fostering business success.(Team Careers360, 2022). As I believe I am underutilizing and not using computer apps to their fullest potential, I was curious to learn more about them. Before taking this course, I had no concept that computer programs could expedite processes and improve communications and workflow. It stands to reason that we would want to gain from them. I wish to explain to the readers what this application software is for, how it can help them with particular tasks, and how to use it. According to the INC blog, the VisiCalc spreadsheet and the word processors Applewriter and WordStar, both of which date to the 1978–1979 time frame, were among the earliest well-known microcomputer software programs.(INC.ThisMorning, 2021)

Evaluate how your chosen tech topic relies on the major hardware components and functions of a modern computer system. 

Because there wouldn't be any programs to utilize without a computer, the computer application depended on the physical components of the computer to operate. The operating system is also necessary for the computer application. a piece of software that executes other programs and apps on a computer while controlling and coordinating the hardware components.

Explain how your chosen tech topic uses programming languages and program execution methods. 

As stated on the Maryville University blog, "While systems programmers focus on developing code that maximizes a computer system's efficiency, application programmers produce code for programs that perform a specific task, such as accounting software, media players, and word processors. This is why I believe that computer applications are built on programming languages. “C++, Python, and Java are a few of the popular programming languages for developing apps. (Maryville University, 2022)

Analyze the role that application software plays in regards to your chosen tech topic. 

Business computer programs today go as far as to cover some of the most crucial company processes, including banking, finance, team management, data storage, and even business management. Basically, the four applications serve quite distinct purposes, are intended for different uses, and have very different features. Therefore, a word processor, such as Microsoft Words, is used to write essays, letters, documents, or anything else that involves creating a report or a résumé. You can upload images and pictures, and this is perhaps the only thing that all three applications have in common. “A word processor creates a file that holds text together with formatting information, often using a unique filename extension like myfile.docx for Microsoft Word” , as stated in chapter 5.1. ( Vahid, F., & Lysecky, S. ,2019). One of Words' advantages is the ability to adjust the front styles, size, and form as well as locate and correct grammatical faults

Describe how your chosen tech topic relates to the basic concepts of database and database management. 

A system made up of data to support customer information, sales transactions, or other access is known as a database application. "A database is a collection of data that has been arranged to make it simple to manage and update," the target tech blog states. Computer databases are frequently used to collect and store data records or files comprising information such as sales transactions, customer information, financial data, and product information. (2021; Lutkevich. As you can see above, there are many benefits to employing various operating systems in the intelligence community, but if employed correctly or the proper precautions are not taken into account, adversaries can also gain significant advantages. Years have been spent adjusting to technological advancements, utilizing them for our advantage, and creating defenses against exploitation. I think that as these methods and technology change over time, so too will rules and regulations. 

Illustrate how the basic concepts of network architecture, management, and security influence your chosen tech topic. 

Server-Client Network

The client/server network is a type of network that allows users to access resources like music and videos from a central computer known as the server. All other computers in the network are referred to as clients, while the central controller is referred to as a server.Every significant task, including network management and security, is handled by server.All the resources, including files, folders, printers, etc., are managed by a server.(Java T point, 2022)
